I love vintage lighting. When my grandmother passed, and before the house got moved to it’s new home – we went in and snagged the light fixtures we liked and swapped them out for whatever we could get away with. (The house was sold for a dollar so 🤷♀️). I have some of them hanging in my house.
I’ve been a vintage lighting fan for decades. When we built this house, it became a quest. None of the lighting is new, most of it pre-1930. The post was just about sharing the image of those cool 1920s era bank-lobby globes with a fellow blogger who has a 1915 World’s Fair lamp post.
I have vintage 1967 lighting in the kitchen, which came with the house, two round cool globes which look like big disco balls on a silver snake…..back in style again….same with the vintage Victorian like bedroom ceiling fixtures. When I did the kitchen reno I thought about replacing them but they fit right in.
Ah that was infinitely easier, hahaha. These are amazing! And in great condition too.

Well, I had to refinish the fixtures–but the globes are in great shape–and remind me of the same era as your lamp post.

How nice that they came with the house. As a new-build, we had to scrounge for ours. Craigslist is my friend.
