A.V. Walters–

Who, me?
And thank you for many years of a great temperament and good company. You will be missed.

I am so sorry, Alta. Losing a pet (companion) is so sad and hard.

Thank you. We’re all a little at loose ends tonight. Kilo, too.

I am so sorry to hear about Bob. For a cat that for many years could not find a steady home, finally had a really wonderful one with you guys. When you are up to it his story would be a good one to tell. Kelly

If ever a cat could be called a “rescue animal,” it was Bob. And still he was a loving and happy cat–though not the sharpest tool in the shed. Not ready to tell his story, though. First I have to make sure that Stan never gets out of prison.

I am sad with you. I’ll have my beloved Casey greet him as he arrives up there.

Thank you. Now comes the hard part–we watch while Kilo, our remaining cat, walks around meowing–looking for Bob. Bob was always Kilo’s cat; Kilo found him, brought him home and made it clear he intended for Bob to stay.

Well Bob’s a very friendly cat, I’m sure Casey will like him. He shouldn’t be too impatient. Bob’s none too bright, and may take awhile. Wouldn’t be his first time lost.
