In like a lamb? There’s another polar vortex event in the forecast–one that should put a chill on the lower 48! Some friends are posting pictures of flowers, and reports that their bees are on the wing. Sigh. For now, we’ll have to content ourselves with pictures from seed catalogues. For us…for now…this is the path to Spring.

“Bees on the wing” most likely means they’re doing cleansing flights and that’s a good thing:) Regarding the Polar Vortex… At this point, everything looks pretty normal for the long-range forecast here; so hopefully it’s much ado about nothing much?

I’m just jealous thay my southern and European beekeeping friends already have bee activity. We’re still thigh deep in snow, with more on the way.
